Russia launched one of its largest attacks on Ukraine overnight Friday, utilizing waves of drones and missiles. The Ukrainian air force reported that 619 drones and 47 missiles targeted eight regions, including Odesa and Kharkiv. The strikes, which lasted practically all night, hit homes, businesses, and energy infrastructure.

The city of Dnipro bore the brunt of the onslaught. Local authorities reported that attacks on the city killed at least five people and injured more than 30. Rescue teams continued to search for bodies and people trapped under the rubble of destroyed houses on Saturday morning. Across the country, reports on the total death toll vary, with some officials stating at least seven people were killed and others reporting up to 10 fatalities.

In response, Ukrainian attacks targeted the Vologda region and annexed Crimea, injuring at least six people.
