The U.S. military has completed its 11th consecutive day of strikes against Iran. These attacks targeted Iranian military operations centers, missile and drone launch sites, aircraft hangars, drone storage facilities, military logistics infrastructure, maritime capabilities, and air defense systems. Explosions were reported in Tehran, Tabriz, southern Iran, as well as Bandar Abbas, Qeshm Island, Chabahar, and Konarak.
U.S. Central Command stated the strikes aimed to degrade Iran's ability to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, noting that Iran has attacked more than 30 commercial vessels, including a tanker attack that forced its crew to abandon ship. President Donald Trump stated that Iran would pay for the deaths of U.S. service members and asserted that the U.S. is not finished attacking. In response, Iran's Revolutionary Guard reported hitting U.S. military targets in Bahrain and Kuwait, while Houthi allies threatened to blockade Saudi ports.
Despite the escalating cycle of attacks, diplomatic efforts continue through Pakistan, a key mediator. Iran's interior minister traveled to Pakistan for talks as an interim deal to end the fighting crumbles, though some signs suggest both nations may want to resume diplomacy. However, President Trump signaled that talks are unlikely in the near term, stating he has no interest in meeting with Iranian officials.
