Three killed and several injured in Moscow restaurant explosion

An improvised explosive device detonated near a summer restaurant terrace in Kudrinskaya Square in central Moscow on Saturday evening. There is speculation that the blast may have been caused by a detonating gas canister.

Three people were killed in the explosion, including a patron and a security guard. An unidentified woman who arrived with a suspicious package also died in the blast.

The incident left between 15 and 21 people injured.
