Jeanie Buss contests siblings' sale of Lakers stake to Iger and Kushner

legal proceedings

Los Angeles Lakers governor Jeanie Buss is legally contesting a plan by her siblings to sell the family's remaining 17.8% minority ownership stake in the team to Josh Kushner and Bob Iger.

According to her attorney, Buss has not agreed to sell the team. She asserts that any vote suggesting the Buss family is selling the stake is void, noting that her approval is necessary as one of three co-trustees.

Furthermore, her lawyer has accused Joey and Jesse Buss of leaking information that is described as false, defamatory, and pernicious.
