Spain coach Luis de la Fuente has announced his 26-man squad for the upcoming World Cup. In a historic first for the national team, the squad will travel to the tournament without a single Real Madrid player. Notable omissions include Dani Carvajal, Dean Huijsen, and Gonzalo García.
The selection features a strong presence from other clubs, including eight players from Barcelona and seven from Arsenal. Among those selected is teenage sensation Lamine Yamal, who was named to the squad despite tearing his left hamstring on April 22, an injury that caused him to miss the rest of Barcelona's La Liga campaign.
Additionally, de la Fuente has recalled Mikel Merino and Gavi to the squad following their respective injury layoffs. The European champions will head into the tournament with this revamped roster.
