Turkey's Istanbul Park circuit will return to the Formula One calendar starting in 2027. The announcement, made on Friday by F1 and the Turkish presidency, confirms the race will return for at least five years, marking the culmination of Turkey's years-long campaign to return to the sport.

Located on the Asian side of Istanbul, the circuit is popular with both fans and drivers. The Turkish Grand Prix will return for the first time in six years, as the venue last hosted a race in 2021.

The return is expected to be well-received by fans and drivers. To ensure the Formula One calendar stays at 24 rounds, a rotation of some European races will be implemented.
