Singer D4vd, whose legal name is David Anthony Burke, has been charged with the murder and sexual abuse of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Prosecutors stated on Wednesday that the singer allegedly killed the teenager by stabbing her multiple times.

According to new court documents, Burke met Hernandez when she was 11 years old and began a sexual relationship with her when she was 13 and he was 18. Prosecutors claim that the singer killed Hernandez to protect his music career after she threatened to reveal their inappropriate relationship.

In a legal filing, prosecutors outlined for the first time how they say the singer murdered and dismembered the victim. The documents state that the stabbing was carried out to prevent the teenager from speaking out about the abuse.
