Southern Spain's Granada province has experienced a series of earthquakes over the last five days. This seismic activity included a 5.0-magnitude earthquake in the historic city of Granada on Saturday, followed by a magnitude-4.8 earthquake that injured three people and damaged buildings.

Authorities reported that at least 10 more earthquakes struck Granada overnight on Wednesday. The continuing tremors have caused light injuries and further damage to buildings across the region.

Due to the seismic activity, tourist access to the medieval Alhambra complex was restricted on Tuesday. The earthquakes also forced the closure of some museums and sport facilities in the region.
