OpenAI hires new CRO as Denise Dresser departs, revenue tops $40 billion

business leadership changes company performance startups

OpenAI is on track to generate annualized revenue of more than $40 billion based on its current performance, roughly doubling its run rate from the end of 2025. This financial trajectory is bolstering the company's plans for a highly anticipated Wall Street debut and a blockbuster IPO.

In an effort to further bolster sales growth ahead of its public debut, OpenAI has named its second chief revenue officer in less than a year. Dali Rajic, the president and chief operating officer of Wiz, has been appointed to take over the top sales position.

Rajic replaces Denise Dresser, who is stepping down to pursue other opportunities after just nine months on the job. Dresser, the former CEO of Slack, is the latest in a string of executives to leave the artificial intelligence start-up, a sudden departure that could be a major blow to the company as it pursues its IPO.
