TikTok has reached a settlement with a Florida teenager who filed a lawsuit claiming the platform damaged his mental health. The settlement was reached in principle, although the final details have not yet been completed.

The agreement removes TikTok from a jury trial scheduled to begin on July 27 in Los Angeles. The legal action was based on claims that the world’s largest social media platforms are addictive to minors.

By resolving the matter through a confidential deal, TikTok becomes the second defendant to exit the case.
