A Seoul court on Friday sentenced former first lady Kim Keon Hee to seven years in prison. Kim, the wife of ousted South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol, was convicted of bribery.

The court ruled that the former first lady accepted bribes, including luxury items and expensive gifts, in exchange for political favors, business favors, and job appointments.

This sentencing follows a separate case involving the Unification Church, for which Kim had previously been sentenced to four years.
