Seaplane carrying 10 lands in New York City's East River with minor injuries

A Kodiak 100 seaplane made a hard landing in New York City's East River near Brooklyn on Sunday around noon. The incident alarmed bystanders as the aircraft crash landed into the water.

The seaplane was carrying between eight and ten people. City authorities reported that at least two people are being evaluated for minor injuries.

Police stated the plane tilted into the water, and images shared on social media showed the aircraft leaning on its side with the tip of its left wing in the water while a helicopter circled overhead. The New York City Fire Department said the plane remained upright and was towed back to dock.
