The New York Knicks have advanced to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999 after completing a four-game sweep of the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference finals. The Knicks secured their place in the championship round with a dominant 130-93 victory at Cleveland on Monday night.
Karl Anthony-Towns led the New York effort with 19 points and 14 rebounds, while OG Anunoby added 17 points. The 37-point loss was the largest defeat the Cavaliers have ever suffered in a playoff home game.
The Knicks will now await their opponent in the NBA Finals, where they will face either Oklahoma City or San Antonio.
