President Volodymyr Zelensky and more than 25 heads of state are meeting in Paris on Monday for a summit of the Coalition of the Willing. The meeting is designed to reaffirm support for Kyiv and step up pressure on Russia.
A primary focus of the talks is to secure further air-defence commitments. Shortages have left Ukraine increasingly exposed to Russian ballistic missiles, despite recent shifts in momentum on the battlefield.
The summit also aims to push for a ceasefire and counter signs of allied fatigue. The gathering occurs one day before President Zelensky is scheduled to join France's Bastille Day military parade.
While allies discuss continued military support, the EU's top diplomat noted that there is currently no consensus regarding more Russian sanctions.
