Palestinian American returns to defend West Bank home under settler siege

Loui Ridi, a Palestinian American, has arrived at his home in the West Bank village of Qusra to join family members who have been defending the property. Ridi traveled from the United States after spending time watching a security camera feed from thousands of miles away as militant Israeli settlers encircled his house.

The family had been holed up in the home for more than a week. The situation escalated after Israeli settlers laid siege to the house, and the Israeli army subsequently turned the property into a closed military area.

Ridi's return comes amidst increasing Israeli seizures of Palestinian property in the occupied territory. Qusra is a tiny village that has seen frequent land seizures and attacks by settlers.
