Palm Beach International Airport in South Florida officially became the Donald J. Trump International Airport on Thursday. The FAA confirmed the name change for the airport, which is located a short drive from the Trump family’s Mar-a-Lago golf resort.
Signs for the Palm Beach International Airport have been removed as new signage goes up. While the facility has officially changed its name, the airport's code will not change for another 40 days.
This move is part of a pattern of repeated measures taken by Trump to put his name and image in official spaces since returning to the White House. These actions represent an abrupt break with American political tradition.
