A federal judge on Monday postponed the trial of a Libyan man charged with building the bomb that brought down Pan Am Flight 103 over Scotland in 1988.
The judge cited the discovery of new evidence as the reason for the postponement of the trial in the United States.
The bombing, which occurred on Dec 21, 1988, is the deadliest terror attack in Britain. The plane exploded minutes after take-off, killing all 259 people on board and 11 people on the ground in the Scottish town of Lockerbie, for a total of 270 deaths.
