LeBron James, the NBA’s all-time leading scorer and a four-time NBA champion, is joining the Philadelphia 76ers for his record-extending 24th NBA season. The move continued a wild offseason for the Sixers on Friday.
James has signed a two-year, $8 million contract with the team that includes a player option.
The move comes after eight seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers. James had previously said he was "done" after his 23rd NBA season, which served as his last with Los Angeles.
He will join a roster featuring forward Jaylen Brown, center Joel Embiid, and guards Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe.
