Iran Attacks Gulf, Disrupts Flights, Threatens Oil Shipping

Tensions in the region escalated as Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE reported working to intercept incoming projectiles. This followed Iranian calls for port evacuations and threats against neighboring countries’ non-US assets. Dubai International Airport experienced repeated strikes by Iranian drones since attacks on Iran, with Monday’s being the largest. Flights were suspended after a drone hit a fuel tank near the airport, causing a fire. Iran has justified attacks on Gulf countries, targeting both civilian infrastructure and US assets.
