Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed opposition to legal punishment and court proceedings for young protesters who marched in New Delhi and other Indian cities in recent weeks. In a video message, he described CJP protesters as misguided children who deserve guidance.
Modi stated that he wants to forgive students who hurled expletives and used foul language during protests last month. He argued that forcing these individuals to appear repeatedly in court would not help resolve the situation, noting that children make mistakes and society should forgive them.
The Prime Minister emphasized that mistakes made in youth should be corrected through guidance rather than legal action. He stated that misled children need to be shown the right path, even as his supporters dox and abuse protesters on social media.
