U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated on Wednesday that the United States remains willing to negotiate an end to the Iran crisis, though he suggested that Tehran is not serious about diplomacy or talks.
Rubio warned that Iranian control over the Strait of Hormuz sets a dangerous precedent. He asserted that the United States would continue attacking Iran as long as it attempts to control the strait.
These comments were made during a meeting of South-east Asian foreign ministers. The widening conflict has already disrupted two of the world's most critical energy chokepoints.
