Google DeepMind has unveiled Gemini Robotics 2, a family of artificial intelligence models optimized to power humanoid robots. This new system aims to provide a single AI brain capable of controlling a humanoid machine from its feet to its fingertips, allowing for coordinated movements across the entire body.
The Gemini Robotics 2 series enables multiple autonomous machines to collaborate on tasks and automate chores that comprise hundreds of steps. By extending Gemini AI technology, the models allow robots to reason, plan multi-step tasks, and adapt to human environments.
While the series includes three models, only one is currently publicly available. This development represents a significant jump into physical AGI, though putting AI into the real world comes with risks.
