France has reached the final of the women's FIBA World Cup for the first time after an 86-64 victory over host Germany on Saturday in Berlin. The win keeps the Olympic silver medalists' unbeaten record at the tournament alive.
Gabby Williams led the French effort, scoring 22 points and recording five rebounds to power her team past Germany.
In the other semi-final match, defending champions the United States advanced to the championship game by defeating Spain 76-66. The U.S. faced a test for much of the contest before pulling away in the fourth quarter.
Breanna Stewart scored 16 points and Kahleah Copper added 13 points to lead the American side. France and the United States will face off in the decider on Sunday in Berlin.
