A 35-year-old diver has died after being attacked by a shark near Michaelmas Island, near Albany, in Western Australia. The state's police force confirmed the man's death on Saturday afternoon.
The man was spearfishing with family when he was bitten by a suspected 4.5-metre shark. Paramedics treated him at the scene for more than two hours before he passed away.
This incident marks at least the third fatal shark attack to occur in Australia in less than a month.
