Russia warns UK over Ukraine's use of British drones in attacks

armed conflict defense & military

Russia has threatened the United Kingdom with consequences following reports that British-made drones were used by Ukraine to strike targets on the Russian mainland for the first time. These drones, produced by two UK companies, were reportedly used as part of a deep strike campaign.

Russia's embassy in London accused Britain of becoming an accomplice and co-perpetrator of the attacks. Moscow warned that the UK would face consequences for which it will have to answer regarding the supply of equipment used to attack Russian territory, including heavy attacks reported in Russian-controlled regions and occupied Crimea.

The UK Ministry of Defence rebuffed these threats, stating that Britain stands shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine. A spokesperson affirmed the government's commitment to providing the equipment Ukraine needs to defend itself against Putin's illegal invasion.

The UK government emphasized that Russia should be in no doubt regarding the resolve of the government to stand against Russian aggression, both within Ukraine and against the UK and its allies.
