The draw for the 36-team Champions League league phase was held in Monaco on Thursday. The first matches of the competition are scheduled to be played on September 8, 9, and 10.

Two-time defending champions Paris Saint-Germain face a challenging start to their trophy defense. The holders are set to host 2023 winners Manchester City and travel to face Barcelona, while also visiting Europa League holders Aston Villa.

Record 15-time champions Real Madrid will face Inter Milan and Arsenal in the league phase. Last season's runners-up, Arsenal, will also compete against Borussia Dortmund and Lille.
