British counter-terrorism police probe arson attacks at London Jewish sites

An attempted arson attack occurred at Kenton United Synagogue in Harrow, north-west London, on Saturday night. The incident caused minor smoke damage to an internal room, though no injuries or significant structural damage were reported.

This event is the latest in a spate of arson incidents targeting the Jewish community in the British capital in recent weeks. British counter-terrorism police are currently investigating another arson attack that took place on Friday night in an area with a significant Jewish community.

Police have also arrested two people in connection with a separate arson attack on a nearby synagogue that occurred on Wednesday. Furthermore, four Jewish community ambulances were torched in north London late last month.

The series of similar incidents has heightened concerns over growing antisemitism in the United Kingdom.
