The U.S. war in Iran has cost an estimated $25 billion over the past two months, according to senior Pentagon officials. This figure, provided on Wednesday by the Pentagon comptroller, represents the first complete public estimate of the military price tag as the conflict nears its 60-day mark.

A Pentagon official noted that the majority of the funds were spent on munitions. Additionally, the Pentagon has deployed tens of thousands of additional forces into the Middle East.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth provided testimony on the matter alongside General Dan Caine. During his first public testimony since the war began, Hegseth did not specify when the conflict might end, stating instead that the biggest adversary facing the United States is the defeatist words of critics.
