Harry Kane has become England's all-time leading goal scorer at the World Cup after scoring in Saturday's 2-0 victory over Panama at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. With this goal, Kane broke Gary Lineker's 36-year-old record, marking his 11th career goal at the quadrennial showpiece as the Three Lions won Group L.

Kane scored in the 67th minute, outjumping Andrés Andrade to head a pass from Jude Bellingham past goalkeeper Orlando Mosquera. Despite a quiet first half with only 10 touches, Kane's goal extended the lead following an earlier score by Bellingham. This mark adds to Kane's own record of 82 total international goals for England.

Kane has recorded three goals in the current tournament, including two scored during the opening win over Croatia on June 17. Jude Bellingham praised his teammate as the best England player of all time, stating that Kane has showed up more than any other player and remains at an incredible level.

England will now advance to the Round of 32, where they are scheduled to play one of the eight best third-placed teams on Wednesday.
