Seoul spy agency says US-North Korea summit possible at any time

South Korea's National Intelligence Service has analyzed that there are signs of renewed dialogue between the United States and North Korea. While there is no known concrete contact between the two sides, the agency assesses that a summit between President Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un could take place at any time.

President Trump has been seeking another summit with Kim Jong Un, eyeing a revived bond he claims to have with the North Korean leader. In August, Trump stated that it was important to get along with Kim, adding that Pyongyang now possesses 57 very powerful nuclear weapons.

This potential meeting would follow three high-profile summits held in 2018 and 2019. During his first term, Trump once declared that he and Kim were in love, though those meetings aimed at securing a denuclearisation deal resulted in no tangible progress.
