Jonathan Andic, the son of Mango founder Isak Andic, is temporarily stepping down as vice-chair of the Spanish fashion chain. The decision follows his arrest days ago on suspicion of playing a role in the death of his billionaire father.

In an open letter to Mango staff, Andic described the allegations as serious, unjust, and unfounded. He strongly protested his innocence, stating that the accusations that he killed his father bear no relation to reality and are deeply unjust.

Andic further claimed that the public narrative is one-sided, taken out of context, and distorted. He noted that while he intends to dismantle the accusations, the process would take a long time.

Andic is stepping aside from his position on the board to focus on his legal defense.
