UK police investigate historic child sex abuse linked to Epstein files

crime & law

Surrey Police in the UK are investigating two separate allegations of non-recent child sexual abuse following the release of documents from the U.S. Justice Department relating to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Two women have come forward claiming they were the victims of attacks in Britain detailed in the Epstein files.

The allegations date back to the 1980s and 1990s. One reported incident relates to locations in Surrey and Berkshire, understood to involve the Windsor estate, occurring from the mid-1990s to 2000. The other relates to alleged incidents in west Surrey during the mid- to late 1980s.

In February, Surrey Police appealed for information following a redacted FBI report alleging non-recent human trafficking and sexual assaults on a minor in Virginia Water, Surrey, between 1994 and 1996. Although a review of police systems initially found no evidence of Surrey-related allegations, the force subsequently received several reports.

No arrests have been made. Surrey Police stated that they take all reports of sexual offending seriously and are working to identify reasonable lines of enquiry to verify the information and establish corroborating evidence.
