Andy Burnham is set to replace Keir Starmer as British prime minister on Monday. Burnham, who will become the UK's seventh prime minister in a decade, is expected to meet King Charles III shortly before being asked to form the next government following a Labour Party coronation.

Keir Starmer took part in his final Prime Minister’s Questions session with MPs in Parliament on July 15. During this session on Wednesday, he answered questions from lawmakers in the House of Commons for the last time before vacating No. 10 next week.

Reflecting on his tenure, Starmer told MPs that it was the end of his political journey and stated that he was proud of everything he achieved. Having served six years as leader of the Labour Party and two as prime minister, Starmer plans to remain a backbench lawmaker for now.
