A woman has been taken into custody and charged with two felony counts in connection with the vandalism of the World War II memorial in Washington. The announcement was made on Friday by Jeanine Pirro, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia.
The damage to the site included red and green paint splattered across the memorial alongside the painted message "Clean hands Dirty $". Suds were also spilled from the monument's fountain.
The arrest comes weeks after Trump criticised Jeanine Pirro for dropping charges over damage to the Reflecting Pool.
