Former NBA players Malik Beasley and Ed Davis have been indicted on federal gambling-related charges. U.S. prosecutors announced the charges on Monday, alleging the players were part of an illegal sports-betting scheme aimed at rigging bets on player performance.

According to the federal indictment, Beasley manipulated his own performance while playing for the Milwaukee Bucks in 2024 to assist gamblers. Authorities say Beasley agreed to the arrangement because he was in debt to a former teammate. Other individuals, including Davis, allegedly benefited from these actions.

In total, six defendants have been indicted in the plot, including sports agent Paolo Zamorano and three other individuals. This latest round of charges is part of a broader government investigation into illegal sports gambling.
