Venture capitalist Joshua Kushner has expressed regret over his involvement in FIFA President Gianni Infantino's scrapped plan to sell stakes in the World Cup's commercial rights to private investors.
Kushner's company, Thrive Capital, worked on the proposed deal in private for several months before the plan ultimately failed.
Kushner stated that he and his company would not have become involved in the proposal if they had known how the football world would react or how the situation would play out.
The investor further attributed the leadership crisis involving Infantino to the political dynamics of football.
