An F-35B stealth fighter jet crashed Friday morning near the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego, California. Officials have classified the incident as a Class A mishap.
The pilot, who has not been publicly identified, ejected from the aircraft before it went down. The pilot is currently in stable condition and received treatment at a local medical facility for non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to live.
