AI chipmaker Cerebras Systems files for US IPO

business startups initial public offering stock market

Cerebras Systems Inc., a Silicon Valley artificial intelligence chipmaker and data center operator, has filed for a U.S. initial public offering. The company, which develops the wafer-size WSE-3 AI chip, is seeking to tap into growing optimism surrounding a broad revival in the listings market.

This move comes approximately 18 months after the company's first attempt to go public. Cerebras had filed for an IPO in September 2024 but withdrew the paperwork late last year. The current filing follows a period of rapid revenue growth for the Nvidia rival.

The chip startup, whose customers include OpenAI and Amazon, could potentially be worth three times more than it was in a 2025 funding round through this public offering.

The filing comes as Cerebras joins a wave of enormous initial public offerings, with SpaceX, Anthropic, and OpenAI also preparing for their own listings.
