Jurors will hear closing statements Monday in the trial of Duane “Keffe D” Davis, who is accused of orchestrating the 1996 drive-by shooting of rapper Tupac Shakur in Las Vegas.
Davis faces a single count of murder with a deadly weapon with the intent to promote, further or assist a criminal gang. He has pleaded not guilty.
Chief Deputy District Attorney Binu Palal argues that Davis orchestrated the drive-by shooting. The trial was expected to take longer, as prosecutors originally planned to call 35 to 45 witnesses.
