US singer Oliver Tree among six killed in Rio de Janeiro helicopter crash

Two helicopters collided mid-air over Rio de Janeiro on Sunday morning, crashing in the city's western zone. All six people aboard were killed in the incident, with no survivors.

Among the deceased was 32-year-old American alt-pop singer, comedian, and internet personality Oliver Tree. Tree, known for hits such as "Life Goes On" and "Miss You," was on a world tour at the time of the accident.

Rio de Janeiro’s Military Fire Department reported that one of the helicopters plummeted into the parking lot of an electric car dealership. The crash ignited a fire that set ablaze approximately 20 electric vehicles before it was extinguished.

Brazil's air force has launched an investigation into the collision.
