Israeli settlers attack homes in Qusra and others in the West Bank

Dozens of masked Israeli settler militants attacked homes surrounding the occupied West Bank village of Qusra on Saturday. This incident represents the first major attack since a siege by settlers in the area earlier this month drew an international outcry. During the assault, settlers surrounded a Palestinian home and threw stones, while also setting fire to nearby Palestinian land.

Reports indicate that between four and seven Palestinians were trapped inside the home. Additionally, masked settlers attacked and injured a Palestinian woman and members of a news team reporting in the Israeli-occupied West Bank.

The Israeli military stated that soldiers and border police forces were dispatched to the scene. However, the owner of the home reported that when the military arrived, they handcuffed, blindfolded, and beat those inside before later releasing them.

Further fears have been raised in the West Bank after three new Israeli gates were installed around Palestinian homes in Qusra following weeks of settler siege.
