Ukrainian drone attacks have struck warehouses, an oil depot, and other targets across Russia, including the Moscow and Tambov regions. In one incident, strikes at a Moscow logistics centre killed seven night-shift workers and wounded 24. Other reports indicate up to nine people were killed and over 60 injured. The city mayor stated that 370 drones were involved in the larger-scale attack, most of which were neutralized.
Ukrainian President Zelenskyy and other officials stated that the strikes targeted military logistics facilities and suppliers for Moscow's invasion, specifically facilities used to make drones and navigation equipment. While Russian governors identified some targets as online retail warehouses, Kyiv maintains these attacks are fair retribution for the ongoing war. This relentless aerial campaign against energy infrastructure and military targets aims to undermine Moscow's war effort.
In addition to the land strikes, Ukraine reported that drone attacks in the Black Sea hit 12 Russian vessels. Meanwhile, Russia carried out deadly strikes across Ukraine, hitting residential areas, ports, and other civilian locations. While Russia claimed it targeted military infrastructure, Ukrainian reports indicate seven people died and at least 67 were injured across the country.
