Poland and Germany have signed a bilateral defence agreement to strengthen European military cooperation amid rising tensions and threats from Russia. The announcement was made by the defence ministers of both countries on Wednesday.
The new deal aims to expand defence collaborations, specifically focusing on boosting plans to protect the Baltic Sea. Additionally, the agreement is intended to enhance military cooperation and communications between the two European allies.
Warsaw is seeking to firm up its alliances in response to the threat from Russia. Poland's status as a logistics hub for Ukraine, combined with its heavy defence investment and growing economy, has established it as a compelling partner for Germany and other core European nations.
