Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan reported that a man armed with a rifle carried out a string of attacks in southern Turkey, killing at least six people and wounding eight others.

The 37-year-old suspect reportedly shot his ex-wife dead before heading out on a murderous spree. During the attacks, the assailant opened fire inside a restaurant, where at least two people were killed.

These events come as Turkey has been shaken by a series of recent shootings that have raised concerns over gun violence and school safety.
