Some 650 delegates from 33 countries and 120 organizations are arriving in Cuba with a solidarity caravan. The group, including over 500 activists, is delivering approximately 20 tons of humanitarian aid.
The aid consists of food supplies and medical equipment, intended to help the island nation address a severe energy crisis. The effort, known as the “Nuestra América” convoy, aims to provide critical supplies to Cuban authorities.
However, the initiative is not without its critics, as some Cuban exiles have expressed suspicion regarding the convoy’s intentions. The delegates began arriving Friday and continue to gather in Havana.
