SoftBank Group Corp. plans to establish and float a standalone artificial intelligence and robotics company called Roze in the United States.

The new entity, Roze AI, will focus on AI and robotics, areas that CEO Masayoshi Son views as the next frontier for SoftBank. The company will also be involved in the construction of data centers.

This initiative follows a period where the Japanese group has piled on debt as Son seeks to position himself as a linchpin in the global artificial intelligence boom.

SoftBank reportedly weighs $100 billion valuation for new AI and robotics spinout in potential U.S. IPO
