Nvidia is investing $2 billion in Nebius Group, an Amsterdam-based AI cloud company. The investment will support the expansion of Nebius’ data center infrastructure and deepen a technical partnership between the two firms. Nebius, which originated from Yandex following the invasion of Ukraine, plans to deploy over 5 gigawatts of data center capacity by 2030. This capacity is equivalent to the power needs of more than 4 million U.S. households. The cloud firm will utilize Nvidia’s Rubin graphics processing units and Vera central processing units. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang stated the partnership will scale Nebius to meet global demand for intelligence, as Nebius builds an AI cloud designed for the “agentic era.” Shares of Nebius jumped nearly 10% in premarket trading following the announcement.
