Hostilities have now entered their seventh month with no end in sight. Vance claimed that major combat operations lasted about six weeks and told reporters that there is currently no active shooting.
These statements come as the U.S. midterm elections are looming. During the briefing, the Vice President also defended Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth from recent criticism.
