Bodies of final 2 Italian divers recovered from underwater cave in Maldives

Five Italian divers died last week during a research trip to explore deep underwater caves in the Maldives, located in the Indian Ocean.

The group went missing while attempting to explore caves at a depth of 50 metres.

Experts spent several days conducting a complex search operation to locate the divers. The final two bodies were recovered by Finnish divers on Wednesday, nearly a week after the deaths occurred.

The bodies were found inside the cave complex in a corridor with a dead end.
