Bus crash in Canary Islands kills one, injures 27

A bus carrying tourists in Spain’s Canary Islands fell into a ravine on Friday, resulting in one fatality and 27 injuries. The incident occurred on the island of La Gomera, near San Sebastián de La Gomera, at approximately 1:15pm local time.

Most of the passengers on board were British nationals. Three of the injured are reported to be in critical condition, with the remaining 24 receiving treatment at a local hospital.

La Gomera is a popular holiday destination known for its steep, volcanic terrain and warm climate. The bus was transporting a tour group at the time of the accident.
